Berekum Chelsea Dutch Coach Trades Punches With Assistant Coach In Training

Ghanaian top-flight side Berekum Chelsea have suspended their two coaches after the duo bizarrely traded punches in training in front of their players during on Thursday.

Dutch coach Hans Van Der Pluym openly fought his assistant Yusif Abubabar before their players as simmering rift between the two trainers embarrassingly got to a head.

The club has suspended the two coaches while junior team coach Annor Walker has been asked to take full charge of thew squad ahead of the weekend?s match.

Abubakar has been infuriated by the decision to bring back Pluym, the technical director of the club to take charge of the coaching duties.

Keen on establishing his authority Pluym clashed with Abubakar over who to take charge of the training which resulted in the punch-up.

?We confirm that the incident happened and we have asked the two men to step aside indefinitely until authorities decide to call them back,? Public Relations Officer Isaac Amponsah told Storm FM.

?It was a very unfortunate incident and we cannot support some of these serious issues to take over a club with such a huge respect.

?It will tarnish our image but we will take correctional measures to put the matter to rest once and for all.

?The authorities have tasked another assistant coach Annor Walker to take over for our subsequent training programmes as we continue to settle with the two,? Amponsah added.
