SALT LAKE CITY --(Ammoland.com)- A new online service developed by Utah.gov and the Utah Department of Public Safety allows citizens to renew their Utah Concealed Firearm Permit online in less than 10 minutes (https://secure.utah.gov/concealed-firearms).
Instead of mailing in a paper renewal form, agencies now have the ability to view and approve applications online, which better meets citizens? needs while increasing agency efficiencies. This improves processing time by more than 50 percent.
?The most convenient way to renew your Concealed Firearm Permit is online,? said Commissioner Lance Davenport. ?Instead of waiting several weeks, we have now streamlined the process so you can receive your permit sooner while applying online.?
To renew the permit online, citizens can visit, https://secure.utah.gov/concealed-firearms, enter their Permit Number and the last four digits of their Social Security number to begin the secure online renewal process. Once logged in, visitors can fill out the online application, upload their photo, and finish the application process, including the ability to pay online. Once submitted, permits are received in the mail within two to four weeks.
Renewal is simple, what you?ll need:
- Information from your current permit
- Digital photo, passport quality
- Next-enter information, verify, e-sign, print and pay
Utah.Gov and the Department of Public Safety are proud to offer this valuable service and hundreds more online.
